This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 21, 2007:
Atom bomb ! As it taught men to create more and more sophisticated arms to kill all those who are easily taken to be nonsensical enemies at the first blind sight of the mad killer.

Couldn't you also say that the invention of the Atom bomb effectively ended great power wars between nations, and we've effectively seen 60 more peaceful years than we would have without it?
